Committees
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee brainstorms new ways to raise money for Walden, and ways to improve our existing fundraisng efforts, e.g. winetasting, annual giving, spring fair, readathon.

Outreach Committee
Largely an email-based committee, the Outreach Committee brainstorms ways to spread the word about Walden and increase diversity in our community. We need a few people who are members of the UCB network to read and occasionally respond to queries pertaining to Walden.

Admissions Support
Help out with the admissions/enrollment effort: materials prep, phone calls, admissions fair attendance, correspondence, Info Session setup and cleanup, etc.

Community Events
This committee is responsible for planning and hosting an assortment of educational, informative, and festive, gatherings which will help Walden grow as a community.

Green School Group
Are you interested in your child's school being as environmentally sound and ecologically sensitive as possible? Join Green School Group and help us create a safe, sustainable school.

Disaster Preparedness
This committee keeps the school stocked with necessary items to support us in a disaster situation. They also review our disaster plan annually, and keep the staff informed of available training classes.

Walden Parent Association
The Walden Parent Association coordinates parents' efforts to support the school, its teachers and its families. They compile a business listing for community members, organize room parents, and treat teachers to snacks during long meeting days, to name but a few.
